It Has Nothing To Do With Age provides self-help principles. The inspirational stories give concrete illustrations of overcoming many of life's challenges. Difficulties pertaining to depression, grief, divorce, and death are presented and worked through by the participants. Physical impairments, injuries, overcoming issues with weight, alcohol, and nicotine are also dealt with and resolved by the athletes.

This book provides a model on how to overcome some of the difficulties that confront all of us . Further, this read sheds a beacon of light on preventive measures for good physical and mental health. Research demonstrates that exercise is an important component in treating such ailments and debilitating illness such as depression, stroke, heart disease, brain or cognitive malfunction, and Alzheimer's disease.

I suggest that proper exercise can be used as a preventive measure for psychological, cognitive, and physical health as well. Follow my prescription and lead a better, more fulfilling, and healthier life.

Wolverine Victory,Trail Running,and The Treasury

"We are not what we know but what we are willing to learn."– Mary Catherine Bateson
Monday I ran with Digger and met Linda at the arena. That run was approximately a 5K distance.  Once there, I assisted Linda with her horse Nails.  She was working on her balance and transitions (walk-trot) with her horse.  I also mounted Nails briefly and did a few exercises with him modeling for Linda.  Linda was satisfied with her work at the Arena, and we then left for home. She has a sore shoulder and has difficulty mounting her horse and feels more comfortable riding in the arena than the trails at this point.  I agree that the arena is the best place for her and her horse.
On Tuesday, I took Digger and we did a short trail run of 6 miles.  The plan for Wednesday is to run with Digger to the Arena and meet her and Nails.  Secretariat and I are planning on running Thursday.  Friday is likely to be a rest day since Saturday’s run will total about 22+ miles.  We will start at my house and run to the fire station in Cool and run back.  Luckily we are going to have an aid station at the halfway point.  Our running group for Saturday is likely to consist of Randall and Diane, Chris Turney, Secretariat, and myself. This week my run total from Sunday to Saturday will be about 50 + miles.  I have a couple of 50 K.’s coming up in February and March so it is time for me to start increasingly distance.  Randall is training for his first marathon, and so he also is building up his distance.  He is doing it the right way and increasing his distance gradually.  He develops a base, and after a few weeks increases the distance.
Yesterday I went to The Trea$ury by far the cutest store on the divide.  Diana Carter is an attractive and bubbly personality and this store is the perfect fit for her.  Her husband John and son Matt also work this store of “fine consignments and rarities.”  Check out their website.  The treasury shop.com.  Their location is 2966 Highway 49, Suite B.  Cool, CA 95614.  Their phone number is 530 – 888 – 9800. I was impressed to see all their jewelry, fine art, and antiques.  Hopefully you will be also. In addition, Diana is selling my book “It Has Nothing to Do with Age” and you will have the opportunity of meeting her as well.
Hooray, Michigan beat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl last night.  I am really pleased with their performance this year. The  Michigan  Wolverines did great.
